As the hotel is still in the process of being built with an opening date of 01 July 2006 much of the review above has been taken from promotional literature and pre-release images, therefore an independent review will follow in the future allowing a more detailed description of the hotel and the experience it offers. Overall the hotel will become an excellent addition to Copenhagen, it will have a superb location, and will be ideal for short city breaks and those wishing to experience 4 star superior quality but in a tourist orientated hotel. Highly recommended! (12/06 LC) The hotel is designed by Kim Utzon, son of Jorn Utzon who designed the world famous Sydney Opera House. It is a ultra modern glass, steel and concrete struture with a glass tower linking the two wings of the building as a unique architectural feature. The hotel is situated on its own man-made island in Copenhagen harbour giving it unparallelled space and views in the most unique of locations. It is within walking distance of the city's main tourist attraction, Tivoli Gardens as well public transport links, shops, restuarants and nightlife. Also close by is Copenhagen's largest shopping mall, Fisketorvet which offers many high-street brands, a multiplex cinema and good quality food outlets. . 71.06 per person, per night.
